Trip departure times in season are 7:30am, 10:00am, 1:00pm and 3:30pm. Check-in time is a half-hour before departure. Whale Watchers can join us every day, weather permitting.

The Southern Right Whales are common visitors in our Bay during our winter months from June to December with their numbers peaking in August and September. Whale Watching Trips (June To December). Big 5 Sea Safari Trips (January To May).
Gansbaai is roughly a two hour drive. A transfer costs R1 000 per person, or a full day tour including the boat trip is R3 800 in whale season and R3 305 in Big 5 season.
The Ivanhoe is a 42 ft. catamaran, which was specifically designed and custom-built for whale watching. Our extensive experience gained from over 8000 close encounters with our majestic southern right whales was our inspiration for the design of the Ivanhoe.
Bryde’s Whales, Humpback Whales, common, bottlenose and humpback dolphins, Cape fur seals, African penguins, Great White Sharks and a range of coastal marine birds.
The Ivanhoe is a 42ft catamaran rated for 40 guests, and we carry 25. There is an upper viewing bridge and a dry cabin below. Children under 5 travel free.
